Canoe Plants Art Card

$6.00

Based on a few of the canoe plants that were brought to the Hawaiian Islands as staple foods with the first Polynesian navigators including kālo, kī, ‘awe, niu and ‘ulu.

Hawai’i, the most isolated island chain on the planet imports around 90% of it’s food. Although there is a year-round growing season, the islands produce only 15% locally grown food. This is almost a complete flip from full self-sustainability with the original people.

All proceeds from this card will go to causes that promote Hawaiian food sovereignty and sustainable food growing practices.

Printed on premium 7.1 x 5.5-inch card stock. Does not include an envelope.
