my art is a celebration of mana; prana; life force of existence; a reflection of the microcosm within ourselves of the infinite macrocosm without.
Originally from the most remote island chain in the world, Hawai’i, I am fueled by greater exploration of world cultures and wisdom traditions. Being of diverse cultural heritages including Hawaiian, Cantonese and Chah’ta my work is a reflection of the multi-facetedness of human life and my journey in self-expression, self-acceptance & self-awareness.
I have a trained background in fine arts, specifically printmaking, a brief stint in art school for graphic design and abroad studies in Indonesia for batik arts & silversmithing. My most recent work in silver and American Turquoise is an homage to my childhood in New Mexico, where I lived within the great Navajo and Zuni Nations and to our ancestors who looked to the stars for guidance.
I am fond of travel, learning new languages, Kundalini yoga & meditation, cooking, gardening and trying out any new medium that taps into my creativity. I live rurally in the coastal pygmy forest of Northern California with my family on a small farm. We grow food, flowers and herbs.
