The Season of the Eclipse.
Welp, after a pretty fruitful and productive Aries season, I finally caught my wollop on THE DAY of the first eclipse of 2022. It seems like things come in 3s, so my moon cycle, the eclipse and my first cold since 2019 decided to sync up all on the same damn day. I had a whole day of meditation, yoga and ritual planned but instead I surrendered to rest. To be honest, I’m actually relieved I finally got sick because I’ve been supporting MMD (my main dude) and his health ups and downs over the past year and I was starting to feel anxious that when I did finally fall ill that it would be severe. My symptoms are relatively mild- sore throat, sniffles, fatigue, headaches here and there but overall I am still up and functioning (If you’re a mom you know that down time isn’t really a thing).
I’ve kicked in my wellness protocol which includes: daily bone broth amended with fresh grated ginger, full spectrum turmeric extract, Vitamin D3 & K2, dried oregano, ground cloves, cayenne pepper, fresh lemon juice and black seed oil which I covered in the previous post. Liposomal Vitamin C, Zinc, Propolis Throat Spray as well as MycoShield Immune Defense spray are all in the arsenal and I use essential oils topically and through a diffuser. I’m avoiding carbs, dairy, sugar and heavy foods while I’m down but should probably make it a complete lifestyle change. Maybe it’s just one component or a combo of many but this is my holistic approach to supporting my immune system that has worked for me and it’s my preferred approach for a few years now.
The above broth cocktail has been in heavy rotation to support MMD through his nervous and adrenal system issues too. So many of us have issues that stem from compromised gut health and bone broth is a nourishing means of bringing things back into balance. Our gut is our second brain and research supports that it is a main if not THE main key to optimal health and vitality. I’m not sponsored by any of the products that I’ve linked to (although I wish because it’s quite an expensive protocol, so holler at cha girl, wellness companies) but I want to share alternatives to over the counter or prescribed medications. I’ve learned so many of the name brand drugs we go to are mimicking properties found in nature and the benefit with using herbs is that there is a complete synergy within the entire plant but I will get into that another time. Of course, trust your self and what works best for you, ALWAYS. Sat Nam, Aloha Ma.
